Concave Reed Knife

Product Description

This concave reed knife (one side is curved and the other flat to enable a sharper blade) has blade that is 4mm thick and 8cm long. The blade is made from ground and tempered steel which is then hand sharpened and mounted on a polished African ebony handle. Available for left or right handed people.

The blade has one flat side and one hollow ground (concave/curved) side. This combination allows for an ideal compromise between sharpness of the blade and ease of sharpening; the knife can be mostly sharpened on the flat side and the hollow ground side allows for a sharp edge.

This knife can be honed/sharpened with a traditional Sharpening Stone or Diamond Sharpening Stone.

A protective sheath for the blade is provided.
