This is a great tool.

This is a great tool. Itā€™s easy to use and consistent in its application. The tips of my reeds are now straight and precisely measured, which has improved their playability. I highly recommend this product!

Reed guillotine

I purchased this for use with bagpipe chanter reeds and although not ideal it has worked out to give me best result of any other process I have previously used. A great piece of kit.

Dear Gordon,
It's always good to be innovative! We love hearing from customers who may not be bassoon/oboe players but are still finding the products we sell to be of great use to them.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, was there anything else we could have done to have made this a 5* experience?
Very best wishes,
Eliza @ Crook & Staple

Although I was doing okay

Although I was doing okay with a razor blade and block, I am now much more confident (and quick) at cutting tips (and trimming off the odd half millimetre)!

Rieger Bassoon Reed Tip Cutter

Very good, although the tip of the mandrel does seem to be very slightly off-centre (at least on the unit I have).
